Feature Request: MCP Wallet/Server Integration for AI Agent Authentication

Hi all, I wanted to propose an idea for Vaultwarden that I think could be valuable as the AI and automation ecosystem grows: Would Vaultwarden consider supporting the [Model Context Protocol (MCP)]( as a local wallet/server for authentication and secrets management? Why? MCP is an emerging standard for securely connecting local AI, automation, and productivity apps (such as LM Studio, Cline, and others) using a common protocol for managing secrets, signing tokens, and authenticating requests. Vaultwarden is already the go-to open-source vault for many self-hosters and could be the perfect fit as an MCP-compatible wallet or server. Potential use cases: Secure, single sign-on for local AI/automation agents and apps Store, manage, and rotate MCP keys, tokens, and secrets Approve or deny requests using Vaultwarden’s existing authentication (biometrics, WebAuthn, etc.) Centralized control for local and cloud-connected workflows Benefits: …
