Option to change the Record label for display
Source: twentyhq/twenty#23900 · opened by @ManasMadrecha
Scope & Context
Display field of a record
Current behavior
In people, the record label is set to name, and can't be edited?
<img width="744" height="302" alt="Image" src=" />
Expected behavior
Give option to choose any field (even later calculated field) to be set as record label for display. This is needed because simple combination of firstName + lastName can be in dozens, so unable to easily distinguish among the people just by seeing the record label or while choosing the person in some associated object.
Better to let business decide which should be the display record label: either
• the combination of fields, e.g., firstName + middleName + lastName + nameSuffix.
• or, a single field, because anyway calculated fields are on the way, right?
