How can we get close to the server deployment?

I don't think Supabase should go for a firebase hosting type solution, but it is a pain point that my server deploy is difficult to get close to my database. Ideally they'd be on the same internal network. Like the way fly.io do it. I don't want to eject I want to pay for Supabase but I do feel the pain of getting my server deploy and DB deploy together.
I just wanted to put this out there, not sure what can be done. For me, the ideal solution would be a number of deploy options, like Fly, AWS, CloudFlare, Vercel, where I could choose the best server/db deploy option for my app. It's a problem that needs a business level solution I guess?
