Does gotrue/supabase support recovery emails?

I was trying to find a way to create a second identity for the same user. This would allow the user to recover their account if their primary email got lost / inaccessible. However, the "providers" for linking accounts only seems to support oauth providers like google, other email accounts cant seem to be used for this.

Is it possible at all to link two emails to the same account? Or alternatively, register an additional email which can only be used for password recovery? Even after diving into gotrue's source code I could not figure this out.

There seems to be a mechanism for a magic link to create a new email identity. However, I can't find the API used to initiate the process of sending such a magic link to the new email of the user.
