[Feature Request] Websocket authentication via token

At the moment as far as I've been able to tell, the websocket system only works with cookies obtained through the login form.
For mobile apps, it would be really useful if it was possible to subscribe to webhook events from the backend on launch, for example to display ongoing tasks and updates.
Currently, I've implemented polling for this, but especially with the upcoming addition of websocket-pushed document updates, this would extremely useful to have.
