Description Would reducing Paperless's idle RAM usage be useful to others running it on smaller machines or alongside other services? There have been related discussions, including: • [reducing worker defaults (#1098)]( • [high RAM use after accessing the frontend (#9031)]( • [High RAM usage while idle (#3616)]( • [Classifier memory spikes (#14109)]( I've been measuring how much memory each process uses, with one web worker and one Celery task worker already configured. My Paperless 3.3.4 container uses about 791 MiB, excluding PostgreSQL, Redis, and other services. Here's the process breakdown: | Process | PSS | | --- | ---: | | Web worker | 273 MiB | | Folder consumer | 141 MiB | | Celery beat | 152 MiB | | Celery parent + child | 175 MiB | | Web-server supervisor + resource tracker | 36 MiB | I am willing to contribute the code, if there is interest, and I have identified three concrete phases: 1.
