[Feature Request] Delete archives of born-digital PDFs
Source: paperless-ngx/paperless-ngx#13795 · opened by @alexounet2
Description
Hi,
There is no way of removing PDF/A-archives for documents where an archived version has already been created. This was [confirmed]( as of April 2025.
However, the default behavior starting with v3 has changed, as no archive for born-digital PDF documents is created anymore. Although the new default makes absolute sense, this leads to an inconsistency between pre-v3 and post-v3 uploads in the same library.
Could a feature be added in the CLI-Tools or directly in the GUI to allow deleting previously created archives (i.e. delete the PDF in the Archive folder and modify the database accordingly so that no error comes up during the sanity check)?
Thanks in advance,
Alex
