Ability to Upload/Convert E-Book formats

Source: paperless-ngx/paperless-ngx#14341 · opened by @tobiasfalk
Hi,
As I use paperless for organising my University Skrips and Books I sometimes have to convert the E-Book formas in to PDFs to upload them.
So my question is, if it would be possible to get this ability directly in paperless, so that one can upload the E-Books directly and paperless converts them for me.

The most common format is EPUB (.epub), but there are also the AZW, AZW3 / KF8 / KFX formats from Amazon, and the older not really in use anymore MOBI (.mobi) format. But I always only had the EPUB format to deal with, so that would most likely be the best start.

One thing I need to mention is the whole DRM problem with that, as they are often locked to some degree, and the easiest solution to that, would be to just reject one with DRM, to not get in to trouble or what ever.

For how I am currently doing it, I use the offline version of PDF24 Tools ( ).

But maybe a solution where Calibri is used in some way could be done.
