At my business we have extensive documentation for performing procedures across a variety of roles, all written in MS Word using a template that looks nice when printed out. Notably, being able to print out physical copies of our docs is a *hard requirement* for us, since some employees do not have computer access and hardcopies are necessary for compliance reasons. Sharepoint + a MS Word template is hell for maintaining documentation: there are three orders of magnitude too many formatting options, users spend hours trying to fix inexplicable alignment issues, choosing fonts, and generally futzing around with word instead of focusing on the important thing which is writing the documentation. The template may look fine at the start but when it changes all documents need to be rewritten with the new template.
