Open nested documents directly from command menu

I was wondering if there are any plans to support nested documents in the Open document feature? I think it is really useful to be able to navigate directly to any document (regardless of nesting) using commands only, instead of searching and clicking the document that matches.
I tried searching for any similar discussions, but could not find one.
