My Thoughts and Outline Review

Context Several weeks ago my friends and I moved our entire work-flow from Coda over to Outline after setting up a self-hosted server. For context we mostly write collaborative fan-fiction and have been working on our various writing projects for over half a decade. We do a TON of writing and rely heavily on collaborative editing and in-app comments. We also have a lot of world documentation, character bios, mixed-media and story entries. As well as some charts and graphs relating to timeline tracking. For this Coda has been fairly perfect for us but with the extraneous and annoying integration of AI and the worries over the company simply folding entirely, we decided to move away to something we could control ourselves. Review The move-over to Outline has been really great actually, it's a FUCK-TON faster than coda, which was exemplified when one of our members imported a 100+ page master outline and we could actually edit it at once without it lagging out like crazy. …
