Feature request: oembed support

Has there been any previous discussion of [oembed ]( support?

In theory it should provide a huge number of integrations, for example, SketchFab, Codepen, Flickr, Codesandbox, Replit, Vimeo, Soundcloud, Spotify, MixCloud, Giphy, Facebook, DeviantArt, ArcGIS and loads more.
