Custom date format

Using {date} in a document template, or using /date in a document, inserts date in format October 9, 2024 . I would like to be able to choose the date format. Either as a preference or as an argument (i.e. {date:%Y-%m-%d}). Preferably as a preference on a workspace level, so that {date} is consistent regardless who using the template.
