Samba server client

I use Nextcloud’s External Storage app to connect multiple users to their personal storage on Synology BeeStations via SMB. I tested the official nextcloud:35.0.2-fpm image on ARM64. It includes PHP 8.5.12, but neither the PHP smbclient extension nor the smbclient command is present. This requires maintaining a custom Docker image for a storage backend supported by Nextcloud. Would you consider including the PHP smbclient extension and its runtime dependencies in the official FPM image? Alternatively, an officially maintained SMB-enabled image variant would help users retain reliable external-storage support while receiving upstream updates. I understand there may be image-size and maintenance trade-offs.
