When a deployment is using traditional local *Primary Storage* and wants to transition to using Object Storage as *Primary Storage*, the mechanics are more than merely challenging: there is no clear path that doesn't involve both an out-of-band data migration *and* loss of all existing metadata (ownership, shares, etc.)
