workflow import - Authentication during import url
Source: n8n-io/n8n#42072 · opened by @manju-rn
Bug Description There is a fantastic feature that I can import another workflow from another n8n instance or any other place using a URL. Hwoever, this does not work if the url passes through authentication, since there is no way to provide the creds, In this day and age, no site would keep the access without authentication, so either n8n itself should provide an API key based auto authentication OR some option to accept Bearer token / Authorization. Otherwise, this URL import is useless, might as well remove it - people would be happy jus download the JSON and uploading. To Reproduce 1. Open a empty workspace and click on ... and select import URL 2. Provide the URL of another n8n site which directly points to the workspace and which has authentication 3. The import fails Expected behavior 1. There should be an opton to provide the credentials like Auth / Bearer otken Debug Info Logs Problem loading workflow The data in the file does not seem to be a n8n workflow JSON file!…
