Referral codes and leaderboards for viral marketing

We run an advocacy organization on Listmonk and want referral tracking and leaderboard support for viral marketing.
Imagine a leaderboard next to our pledge form on the site below showing names and how many people they have referred. After subscribing to a list users get links with referral codes to connect them with who _they_ sign up:
Describe the solution you'd like
We'd like first class support for referral codes and leaderboards. I'm planning to implement this as a sidecar for now, so I'm not blocked, but if there's appetite for it in this project I could build a proposal on top of v7.
A rough model is that each subscriber gets a referral_code and each subscription gets a referred_by. Each list would have a leaderboard with list_id, subscriber_id, num_referrals.
