What environment are you running? Self Hosted Have you searched existing issues and requests? • I have searched existing issues and requests. Request Description InvoiceNinja’s bank transaction workflow assumes all deposits are client payments. When a business purchase is returned and the vendor refunds the money to the bank account, there is no clean way to record this from the Transactions screen. Current pain • Deposits in the Transactions screen only offer “Create Payment” or “Link to Payment” [3]. • “Create Payment” treats the refund as client revenue, incorrectly inflating income. • “Link to Payment” is inapplicable — there is no client invoice to link. • Users must either delete the original expense (bad audit trail) or leave the deposit in Unmatched (breaks P&L accuracy).
