Product update on quotes and invoices only as pop-up-options

Good day, everyone,
as you know there's a general option to automatically update products if they are changed in product-lines in invoices or quotes.
This option could (and should) be improved by making changes in the products-table only optional or after an explicit confirmation. My idea is: Per line add an option to add this product-/service-line to products or to change the existing one (if already existing, of course).
How to you people think about it?
