Invoice payment installments with autopay and reminders

We would like to send invoices to clients which are paid over multiple months, with autopay or a reminder every month. So the ability to specify an interval and split count for payment.
Having this in one invoice rather than recurring invoices provides contractual security, as a single payment confirms the whole invoice without needing a separate contract.
