Ability to store values in variables based on JSON path expression

Say I create an object on a service and it generates a ID, I would like to provide a JSON path expression where it would take that value and store it in a workspace variable.

Then another request could use this workspace variable.

For example I create a "filter" object, and its id get saved.
Then I call an endpoint that enables "filters" and it doesn't need to prompt or I don't need to change the request url and just reference that variable.
