[Feature] Temporarily ignore "prefer remote images" setting, if server is not reachable
Source: immich-app/immich#27208 · opened by @AndyH3H1
I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
• Yes
The feature
If the setting "prefer remote images" is active but the server is not reachable (airplane mode, no signal etc...), you are not able to see the pictures stored locally in the "on this device" folders in the library section. All thumbs are black and the loading circle stays forever. If you switch off "prefer remote images" the local images are loaded immediately if you are offline.
So if the server is not reachable for any reason, my suggestion is that this setting should be ignored as long as the server is not available, so that you are still able to browse at least the pictures on the device.
