[Feature] Swipe to select for faster selection

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

iOS native photos app has a very nifty feature, where once selection mode is activated, swipe action can be used to select many photos. This lets users rapidly select 10s or 100s of photos instead of manually tapping on each photo, in addition to being able to use tap whenever individual selection is needed. It's very intuitive to use once you start using it, and it'll be a great feature for both Android & iOS apps.
