[Feature] Strip location EXIF by default when link is not password protected
Source: immich-app/immich#31284 · opened by @jazzathedev
I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature
I found myself very nearly sharing an image via a link which would have contained the exact location information by accident. I am aware that "Show metadata" can be disabled, but it is
1. Not clear to everyone that it includes location data
2. Defaults to enabled
3. Thus your link is now entirely public and contains your location, if anyone got it they could save that info forever
I propose that show metadata be off by default, or at the very least off when there is no password protection, and that location stripping should be separate
