[Feature] Provide a visual docs for components and layouts
Source: immich-app/immich#9867 · opened by @teaalltr
I have searched the existing feature requests to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
• Yes
The feature
This may be more of a quality of life improvement for new devs. Say someone wants to contribute to the UI part, maybe fixing some bugs in a specific GUI component.
The newcomer is completely lost in the huge number of components one inside another, notifying other stuff and passing events around.
It would be great to have at least some kind of visual docs like a screenshot with layout overlays outlining the name and the placement of each component in the GUI, and a link to find them in the code.
More, it would be awesome to have a "dev mode" where you can actually get this kind of overlay straight on top of the GUI itself, while running. It would be amazing!
