[Feature] Notification when force closing app on iOS
Source: immich-app/immich#21303 · opened by @br4yd
I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.
• Yes
The feature
On iOS when force closing the app there is no indication that background sync is not working (yes, iOS only has partly background sync because of iOS restrictions but if the app is open in the background it can still sync a few files from time to time).
So it would be useful if the app would send a notification informing the user to not force close the app to have better sync as soon as they force close it. I often see older people closing off all their apps on iOS even though it is not necessary and thus also force closing Immich. This would inform users that the background sync works best if the app stays open.
