[Feature] Dual-view Support for FLIR Thermal Images (Visual + Thermal Layers)
Source: immich-app/immich#21908 · opened by @SpiderQubit
I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request. • Yes The feature Hey Immich team, I've been using your app to manage my photos, but I hit a snag with FLIR thermal images. When I upload them, Immich only shows the thermal layer and hides the regular photo that's actually part of the same file. For context, these images PNG images bundle both a normal visible-light picture and thermal data but right now there's no way to switch between them or see the standard image at all. This makes it tough to use Immich for research since I need to compare thermal hotspots with the actual scene. It’d be awesome if there was a simple toggle to flip between views, like how some proprietary image apps handle FLIR files. Not sure if this helps, but [FlirImageExtractor]( exists to pull both layers out maybe that approach could be added here? I’ve uploaded an example image so you can see what I mean. …
