[Feature] Document that api requests are under the `/api` url

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature
From [the API documentation]( I don't see any mention that all of the endpoints mentioned actually live under /api/<endpoint>. The closest I can see to this is in [the docs for authentication]( where at the bottom the URL shown uses the /api path. I think it would be nice to explicitly mention this somewhere in the docs.
