[Feature] Can we make the Upgrade Available pop-over a little less invasive?

I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request.

The feature

Not sure what the logic is (supposed to be), but right now I'm seeing this dialog several times a day. I would like to avoid seeing it _that_ often, without necessarily turning of the check for update.

I suggest changing the logic or make a "Don't show for 48 hours"-button or some such.
