[Feature] Allow album editors to change the display order
Source: immich-app/immich#31493 · opened by @NonameDeveloperA
I have searched the existing feature requests, both open and closed, to make sure this is not a duplicate request. • Yes The feature Currently, only the album owner can change the album's display order between "Oldest first" and "Newest first". I think album editors should also be allowed to change this setting. Editors already have permission to manage the contents of a shared album, so changing the display order seems like an appropriate editor-level permission as well. At the moment, an editor who wants to browse a large album in chronological order has to ask the owner to change the setting. I am not requesting a per-user sorting preference. It is fine for the editor to change the album's actual display order globally, just like the owner can. Expected behavior: • Owner: can change album display order • Editor: can also change album display order • Viewer: read-only, uses the album's configured order …
