Source: home-assistant/core#182766 · opened by @tsautier
The problem A Samsung dryer connected through the Home Assistant SmartThings integration can send an actionable warning in the SmartThings app when the condensate tank / drain needs attention, but this warning is not exposed in Home Assistant as an entity, event, or other observable state. SmartThings displayed the following notification (French): > Videz le réservoir d'eau ou vérifiez le tuyau, puis appuyez sur Démarrer sur le sèche-linge. Meaning roughly: > Empty the water tank or check the drain hose, then press Start on the dryer. Because this warning is not exposed by the Home Assistant SmartThings integration, it is not possible to create a reliable Home Assistant automation for it. What Home Assistant currently exposes for the dryer The device currently exposes entities including: • binary_sensor.chaufferie_seche_linge_alimentation • binary_sensor.chaufferie_seche_linge_anti_froissage_actif • binary_sensor.chaufferie_seche_linge_controle_a_…
