Extend global variables to scoped variables* If I've got multiple children in a container all sharing near-identical attributes and I want to, for instance, decrease the border radius by 5px on the left and right sides. I would have to go into every element and change their border radius individually. This is just one example but it could apply to nearly any instance where a container holds multiple near-identical children.
