Proposal: Implement Donations to Fund Improvements and Compensate Contributors

Hello everyone, I’ve been thinking about how we could improve the sustainability of the docmost project while also rewarding the contributors who dedicate their time and effort to drive development. Currently, many people contribute code, documentation, and support. However, maintaining an open-source project over the long term can be costly, and those who continuously collaborate often receive no compensation for their work. Why Donations? • Support infrastructure costs: servers, domains, cloud services, etc. • Reward and motivate contributors who invest more hours in solving issues, adding new features, or improving documentation. • Encourage participation and community growth, attracting more people to get involved. Concrete Proposal • Enable GitHub Sponsors (if available) or add a donation button via PayPal, Patreon, Ko-fi, etc., in the README. • Configure a .github/FUNDING.yml file that points to different donation platforms. …
