Export: Subpages are lost on export - import
Source: docmost/docmost#2044 · opened by @shukon
Hello,
on export and after that import the subpages-index of all children is lost.
Subpages (in the sense of the /subpages command) were introduced in August 2025 and are amazing (#1462).
Export is also amazing, for emergency offline support, backup or migration. I am aware it's not currently a "full backup", but I had expected some sort of mention of the subpages-toc in the exported markdown or html file. But it's just not there at all.
It was similar for icons and order, but those were fixed in #1875.
I would expect either some sort of #!@subpages special marker, that can be interpreted on importing a space.
Or alternatively hardcoded links of children pages as a sort of toc.
I don't think it's a high-priority bug, but it creates friction in the export-import flow.
