Ability to restrict access to version history to editor/admin only

It would be appreciated if access to version history could be restricted to users with editing right on related pages.
Thus would prevent access to sometime/potentially sensitive information from past versions or included by error
This could be a general switch/preference at the application level or workspace level, or alternatively an individual one at page level.

Or said differently: make version history invisible to users with read-only access rights or public access
