Show Count of Selected Items on Display Page

Summary The list (display) page currently does not show the number of selected items when multiple items are chosen. Users often want to know how many records they have selected. The proposed feature is to display a dynamic count of selected items directly on the display page, for example near the search or filter icons, giving instant feedback to the user. <img width="1397" height="483" alt="Image" src=" /> Selecting several items should show something like "7 items selected" near the top bar or search filters. The number updates in real time as selections change. Motivation Users frequently select multiple items to perform batch operations, but the current UI doesn’t indicate how many items are selected without entering batch edit mode.
