Source: directus/directus#23789 · opened by @VinaySavla
Summary I am requesting the addition of support for mathematical and scientific equations in the WYSIWYG field within Directus. This feature will allow users to insert and format complex equations using a simple, intuitive interface. Basic Example The feature could utilize LaTeX or MathML to render equations. A basic example might look like this: $$ E = mc^2 $$ In the WYSIWYG field, this would render as: 𝐸=𝑚𝑐^2 Directus could also allow inserting equations using a button within the WYSIWYG editor, which opens an equation editor or provides a LaTeX input box. Motivation The primary motivation is to support industries like education, science, engineering, and research where the presentation of mathematical and scientific formulas is essential. Currently, the Directus WYSIWYG editor lacks native support for equations, which limits its usability in these fields. By adding this feature, Directus would be more versatile, accommodating a broader range of use cases. Exp…
