Hello Chatwoot community and maintainers, First, thank you for building such a fantastic open-source platform. I'm starting this discussion to propose and explore the idea of creating a WordPress-like plugin architecture for Chatwoot. The goal is to empower the community to extend Chatwoot's native functionalities safely, without altering the core source code, fostering a rich ecosystem of features and integrations. The Inspiration: WordPress & Discourse The WordPress plugin system is legendary for its simplicity and power, primarily through its Hooks system (Actions and Filters). A more modern and technically relevant inspiration comes from Discourse, which is also built on Ruby on Rails and a JavaScript frontend. Their successful plugin architecture validates that this model is perfectly suited for a stack like Chatwoot's.
